SECOND WEEKEND
SOMERSET FOOD TRAIL 2025
SECOND WEEKEND
The 10-day Food Trail runs across two weekends and the week in between. Find out what's happening and which venues are open in the second weekend – Friday 25 to Sunday 27 July.

Fri 25
The Middlewick
Glastonbury
There's been a Middlewick Farm the base of Glastonbury Tor since the early 1600s. Now set up as holiday cottages, retreat venue and spa, with 16 acres of apple orchards, paddocks and gardens, our popular farm shop stocks local meat, dairy and veg, while our café focuses on local, seasonal produce. Join us on Fridays 18 & 25 for our delicious homemade pizza nights!

Fri 25
Tricky Cider
Langport
Tricky Cider is a craft cider producer using fruit from traditional Somerset orchards to produce a range of farmhouse and sparkling ciders. The key to our cider making approach lies in the heart of the Somerset Levels, an area still home to a goldmine of traditional cider apples. We aim to use and regenerate as many old orchards as we can in our area and promote the drinking of traditional farmhouse ciders!

Fri 25
Westcombe Dairy
Shepton Mallet
We make proper unpasteurised cheese – such as our traditional clothbound Westcombe Cheddar, Duckett's Aged Caerphilly and Ricotta – using raw milk from our cows. In addition, we also make charcuterie, combining our veal bull calves with pork from Gothelney Farm to create unique takes on classic saucisson, salami, pancetta and more.

Fri 25, Sat 26, Sun 27
The Old Dairy Café
Martock
Based at Bower Hinton Farm, which has been in the Palmer family for 150 years and grows a fantastic variety of seasonal vegetables, the Old Dairy Café produces delicious food with emphasis on farm-to-fork and promoting local produce from the Somerset area. Everything homemade plus ice cream, cordials, chutneys, cream teas as well as worldwide street food and brunch.

Sat 26
Wild Roots, Growing for Wellbeing
Baltonsborough
We are a charity-run growing project, growing organic produce to provide food for our volunteers and ingredients for soup lunches here and at our sister site, Hallr Wood, for their forest school activities. Our main emphasis is on horticulture and rural craft activities and we also grow flowers in our healing flower garden for seasonal bouquets.

Fri 25, Sat 26, Sun 27
Wraxall Vineyard
Wraxall
Wraxall is one of the oldest vineyards in Somerset, planted more than 50 years ago in 1974, producing award-winning English wines. Today we grow Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir Précoce, Bacchus, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay grapes. Our unique tasting events and meeting space, The View@Wraxall is nestled in amongst the vines. Enjoy spectacular views across Somerset with a glass of wine and local food.

Sat 26
The Slow Farming Company
Castle Cary
A nature friendly regenerative farm & farm shop selling grass-fed beef, free range pork and eggs from pasture raised hens as well as various homeware and pantry items. We have won, or been finalists for, various awards for our meat, shop, and sustainability. On Sat 26 we're firing up our BBQ for a 30-mile feast of grass-fed beef and free range pork delights, plus vegetarian options, as well as cocktails and music.

Sat 26
Wood Advent Farm
Roadwater, Watchet
Wood Advent is an organic, regenerative farm in the heart of the Exmoor. A family-run farm now in its 14th generation, we know that the only way we can pass on guardianship of this land is through regeneration of the soil, water and air. With trees at the heart of our regenerative transformation, we now produce heritage grains, grass reared beef and, soon, organic nuts.
