SOMERSET FOOD TRAIL 2025
FIRST WEEKEND
The 10-day Food Trail runs across two weekends and the week in between. Find out what's happening and which venues are open in the first weekend – Friday 18 to Sunday 20 July.

Fri 18, Sat 19, Sun 20
Little Bakery Langport
Langport
We are a family-owned and family-run artisan bakery that supplies local residents and businesses with our lovingly hand-crafted, baked produce. We use the highest quality, locally sourced, and ethically produced ingredients and the care and attention that we fold, stir, and mix into every bake is evident in each bite. Our bread is flour, water and salt – nothing else is added.

Fri 18
Meadow 30-mile Feast
Bishops Lydeard
Three local businesses with shared values and a passion for supporting each others’ ventures are coming together to host a 30-Mile Feast. All of our small enterprises – Landwich, Little Red Fire Truck and Longstraw Bakery – are passionate about putting south-west grown ingredients at the heart of our menus, and all the meat, grain and vegetables served will come from the surrounding area.

Sat 19
Nailsea Farmers Market
Nailsea
A monthly celebration of farming, food & drink producers, and crafts people, plus the involvement of the wider Nailsea community with lots of local participation. This is the biggest Somerset Farmers Market, and often has over 50 traders. It fills the High Street, which is closed to vehicles for the market.

Fri 18, Sat 19
Pitney Farm Cafe
Pitney, Somerton
Situated on an organic farm, Pitney Farm Café makes everything from scratch, offering brunch, lunch, evening events, cakes and more! It uses the organic meat and eggs from the farm, as well as veg picked from the fields right in front of the café windows. Everything is prepared here on the farm.

Fri 18
Longstraw Bakery
Wiveliscombe, Taunton
An organic sourdough bakery in Wiveliscombe with a firm belief in the key role that organic grains can play in community, regenerative agriculture and sustainable food systems. We use 100% UK stone-milled wheat, oats and rye, sourced from smaller-scale farmers and millers – often Somerset farmers via the South West Grain Network.

Fri 18, Sat 19
Pitney Farm Shop
Pitney, Somerton
Pitney Farm Shop is located on Glebe Farm, an organic mixed livestock and arable farm that has been in the hands of the Walrond family for over 200 years with three generations involved on the farm today. We sell our home-reared range of organic meat, eggs and vegetables as well as an extensive range of food and drink products from other local producers.

Sat 19
Lower Hewood Farm
Chard
We are an organic smallholding on the Somerset border, growing food for our local community and running workshops and events around the subject of food and farming. Run by a farmer, a grower and an artist, we grow food, hold events and offer a grounded place to gather, learn, and connect.

Sat 19
Olive Kitchen & Bar
Martock
Olive Kitchen & Bar is a kitchen garden-led restaurant serving Mediterranean style food, cakes and drinks. We pride ourselves on serving fresh, fragrant food made from scratch, straight from our kitchen garden. We serve breakfast, lunch, mezze, barista coffee, cakes and desserts, plus cocktails, beer, wines and spirits
