About us
An organic sourdough bakery in Wiveliscombe with a firm belief in the key role that organic grains can play in community, regenerative agriculture and sustainable food systems. We use 100% UK stone-milled wheat, oats and rye, sourced from smaller-scale farmers and millers – often Somerset farmers via the South West Grain Network.
The Food Trail has now finished.

Are you putting on a 30-Mile Feast or a tasting?
Something else
Longstraw Bakery, founded by Freddie Bullough and James Cartwright, has been named among the 50 best bakeries in Britain by The Good Food Guide. Our intention is to contribute to a regenerative, resilient and accessible food system from field to table, one loaf at a time.
We're open on Fridays, 12-4pm. Come and see us! Order by noon on Wednesday for collection at the bakery on Friday, or visit in person between 12pm & 4pm on Fridays.
We're also linking up with two other local businesses with shared values and a passion for supporting each others’ ventures – Landwich and Little Red Fire Truck – to host a 30-Mile Feast on Friday 18 in Bishop's Lydeard. See the Meadow Somerset 30-Mile-Feast listing for details.
