About us
The Acorn is a cafe/bistro with a small deli. We believe in simple, quality food and drink and love to celebrate the great local produce which surrounds us in the Westcountry. During the daytime, we serve brunch, lunch and homemade cakes. On Friday evenings we operate a Modern British menu which changes monthly to ensure seasonality; we also run monthly events including themed Supper Clubs and wine tastings.
The Food Trail has now finished.
Read on to find out about the kinds of activities offered but be aware that the dates quoted below only relate to July 2025.

We are holding two special Friday night events during the Food Trail festival:
• On Friday 18, from 6pm, we have an 'Iberian x Westcountry Supper Club' - a six-course tasting menu centred around the flavours of Spain and Portugal using Westcountry produce.
• On Friday 25, from 7pm, we are hosting a 'Local Cider & Cheese Pairing' event. Tickets for these are to be booked in advance - just pop us an email! :
And, of course, we are open throughout the festival as usual on Mondays to Saturdays (9am-3:30pm) and on Sundays (10am-3:30pm Sun).
