About us
Combe Head House is a beautiful holiday retreat and working smallholding in the south of Somerset. The estate is built around a Tudor manor house dating back to 1580. Hosts Lara and Benedict run a smallholding with rare breed pigs, pygmy goats, chickens, and sheep, and grow a variety of produce in their kitchen garden. Guests can explore the woods, meet the animals, and enjoy a seasonal cream tea made with local produce. A true taste of countryside life.
The Food Trail has now finished.

Something else
Enjoy a traditional Somerset cream tea at Combe Head House, featuring homemade scones, jam from garden fruits, rich clotted cream, and freshly brewed tea. Served in on the lawn in front of the Tudor manor house or in the Great Hall, it’s a deliciously slow moment to savour the beauty and bounty of this peaceful smallholding.
