Transition Town Wellington's team of enthusiastic community gardeners have spent the last two years planning and planting up part of Fox's Field as a forest garden.
Come and celebrate this wonderful new growing space, and its wildlife & biodiversity. We will be hosting a family-friendly picnic, with cakes and refreshments and a tour of the forest garden with the TTW team.

This fun, family day welcomes people of every shape, size and age to enjoy our community 'food forest'. We'll talk about why certain plants and trees have been chosen, and their properties.
We'll also talk about helping to restore a healthy ecosystem; about foraging, medicinal herbs and the soil; and the importance of a regenerative farming revolution! With food stalls and live music too! Bring your own picnic and something to sit on.

Locals will access Fox's Field via the Basins, but for health and safety reasons we cannot officially direct you from this side. Access via gate from Birchill's/Linden Hill, and across the footbridge from Millstream Gardens. Please walk or cycle as there is no parking nearby, although you can use the carpark behind One Stop Shop in Tonedale. What3words: phones.card.corrupted.
