Ad Astra Cider
Ad Astra is a new craft cider company and tap house in the heart of Somerset.Founded by an RAF veteran and his family, the name 'Ad Astra' is proudly derived from the Royal Air Force motto, 'Per ardua ad astra' – which means 'Through adversity to the stars'.
We make fantastic ciders from classic cider apples grown within our own 12 acre orchard (we grow 12 varieties) and picked, pressed and fermented on site. Never made from concentrate, the cider is naturally slightly different each year depending on the environmental conditions during the growing season.
We have an RAF-themed taproom in an historic Somerset cider barn and run quiz nights, band nights, cider tastings and other events such has Halloween and Wassail.

Come and experience award winning Somerset cider in a truly unique environment. Wander the beautiful orchards and learn about our biodiversity efforts to ensure we grow the best quality cider apples possible.
Tour our cider making facilities and learn about cider manufacturing on a craft scale. Enjoy some wonderful cider tasting with some local cheese. Ploughman lunches are also available and can be eaten in the sunshine within our beautiful taproom garden overlooking the orchards, all washed down with some fantastic Somerset cider.
