THE SOMERSET

FOOD TRAIL

FESTIVAL

LOCAL – SUSTAINABABLE – DELICIOUS

Welcome to the Somerset Food Trail Festival – celebrating the best of locally produced, delicious and sustainable food. The ten-day Somerset Food Trail Festival runs from Friday 15 to Sunday 24 July and is a county-wide, farm-to-fork showcase that puts the spotlight on Somerset's smaller-scale, more regenerative farmers and artisan producers, and the stores, cafes, pubs and restaurants that support them.

Our website is still under construction but will be completed SOON! In the meantime, we're delighted to share our Festival Guide with you here. For all the latest news on the Trail and festival highlights, please follow @somersetfoodtrail22 (Instagram) and @somersetfoodtrail (Facebook).

ABOUT THE FOOD TRAIL

A FARM TO FORK SHOWCASE
FRIDAY 15 TO SUNDAY 24 JULY

The Somerset Food Trail Festival is a farm-to-fork showcase of the farms, landscapes, people and places behind Somerset’s most flavourful and nature-friendly food.

Modelled on the 'open studios' model of arts trails, the 10-day Food Trail Festival sees farmers, growers and food producers open their doors to the public at set times between Friday 15 and Sunday 24.

From biodynamic vineyards to community-funded food forests; aquaponic market gardens to milk-based vodka distillers; fermenters, foragers, smokeries, goat herders, bakeries: you name it, it’s here. And that’s before you get started on the cider and the cheese!

WHAT'S HAPPENING?

With nearly 190 venues taking part, there's a wealth of foodie experiences awaiting you  – from farm visits, beer and cheese tastings and sausage and cider festivals to vineyard tours, Somerset feasts and apple orchard wild camping opportunities.

We also have some great cultural experiences lined up, from live music to book talks, film nights to family-friendly creative workshops and performances thanks to our partners Take Art and the Cultivate project.

Venues choose when they open during the Festival, so opening days and times will vary according to the venue. Check the brochure and the interactive map to find out what's on, where and when.

"Somerset is an amazing, beautiful county, producing food that’s recognised around the world. I’m delighted to support the Somerset Food Trail as a way of encouraging people to ‘buy local’, find out more about how food is made, and learn what farmers are doing to protect and care for the environment.”
